Skins vs Browns pre game thread

Their D is very good and we can’t take for granted the offensive output of the last 2 weeks against crappy defenses. This is going to be a slugfest, I suspect. We need to run the ball down their throats and tackle well on D. Their receivers aren’t scary - our CBs need to show up.

I just hope all the hype this week isn’t a distraction.

I don't get the hype for the Browns D. They are on par with the Bengals through 4 games in passing yds per game [181yds to 188yds] and overall they are similar to the Giants [ 299 total per game to 312]. I do imagine teams are studying both JD5's play and KK's offense looking for tendencies and weakneesses. Hopefully there aren't many to find.

They are coming off a playoff season last year and a historically dominant defense last yearhave a lot of talent and speed. They are a team where the sum of their parts don’t equate to the team performance given their talent. Which makes them potentially dangerous….

5 games into the season, last year is less important then what they have put on the field and that is a defense similar in quality to NYG and Cinci.

Their offense has struggled so much it’s taken a toll on the defense, they are not playing well, but this has been collectively a top 5 unit the last several years…they can wake up any week, we have to bring our A game and shut down their offense

so how did the Browns defense hold up. The same as the Bengals and Giants.

The Ravens will be the critcal test, a solid defense and a bruising run game. It will be tough, and i doubt we are favored.

Bengals O did pretty well v Ravens. I'm more worried if our D can contain Jackson.
