Sweat is gone, our LBs still are bad at covering. It's more than secondary.

Our starting Lbs are Fowler, Wagner, Luvu. I think that group will hold its own in coverage.
Our d lacked effective coaching last year, especially in the secondary. That's not the case this year. The players will be matched up properly and will win the battles via scheme more often than last year.

Wagner tracked the backed and released him then read the qb's eyes. I doubt the screen receiver was his responsibility. That would usually be a safety or corner I think.

Yeah, but all three LBs went the wrong damn direction. This isn't even the play where they got the 1st down on 3rd and 17.

Hated the Wagner signing and I hate it more now. At this point in his career he is a tackle to tackle LB. You get him out in space and he will get exposed. I remember last year against Seattle where Gibson just totally abused him on a similar play. He can't run anymore.

If I'm going to suck, and this team is going to do just that, I want my entire team to be rookies, 1st 2nd and 3rd year guys. There is no need for a bottom tier team to have guys like Ertz and Wagner.

I'm already on the phone if I'm Peters, I'm trying to trade #17, #94 and #93. Let those guys get on good teams and see if they can have a chance to win while we rebuild.

It's not time to do that yet. They have more to contribute to bringing along the young "keepers" here. Besides that, to get more in trade, any trade of one of the above players should happen when a contender is desperate for help at one of their positions.
