Also r.e. Ron's comments about not knowing what a good player Howell was last year, and Pat McAfee saying Ron has basically lost his fastball - I'm getting real 2007 Joe Gibbs vibes here. Ron has been through a lot the last few years and he did get this organization back to a respectable standpoint. I wouldn't be surprised if we have another 7-10 win year and a quick playoff exit (if we even make it there) and he retires after this year.
Honestly looking at our division and schedule, even an improved team could go 7-9 wins and there would be nothing to be ashamed of. Agreed though, unless we make it deep into the playoffs with a team performing well on both side of the ball, Ron is probably retiring as a HC at the end of this season.
