No way we can keep Payne, Sweat, and Chase.

It's a good problem to have. But 1 of them is likely gone in the next couple years.

Payne is a must keep in my eyes.

Imo, it comes down to production vs. potential. For keeping Sweat or Young.

I think we can keep all 4, draft OL, LB, CB and start Howell next year. Letting go of Wentz, trading Roullier and Logan Thomas should create some cap space, plus the cap is going up. We don’t have any expensive OL, making them equivalent and roll with young guys.

Darrell Green- Best DB ever.

Let’s not forget we got Mathis waiting in the wings.

I think all will win with the exception of the Buccaneers and Texans.

Would you have kicked the FG or gone for it like Lovie? I go FG, but I reckon Lovie hates us.

I would have taken the points and kicked the FG. Not converting gave them girls new life.

Due to his injury Mathis hasn't had the opportunity to prove that he is a keeper, much less that he can step in and fill 94's big shoes. We need Payne for at least one more year, so if he can't be re-signed then he must be franchised - but just once.

I don't see how they can keep all three either. Just my opinion but I think Payne might be the odd man out of the three. Payne is much better lined up at nose in the 0-1 tech much like Allen which gives us redundancy. Mathis is a much more natural 3 tech which is what Payne has been playing for most of his career. I really don't know what they will do.

If we have no stud OL player to pay, use the money on the DL/DE and draft Young inexpensive OLinemen. Young’s contract might not be so bad as he’s coming from injury and who knows how long before he regains his old form.

Going cheap two years in a row on Oline is a bold move! In all honesty though that is probably the only way they afford all three down the road. It could definitely be worth the risk if Howell pans out and can get quality draft.
