Re: Taylor Effing Heinicke
Makes me laugh when people are so quick to judge on a small sample size. It's clear from his physical talents he's capable of being a good #2 but he won't be a long term starter anywhere. However, to judge whether he's worth keeping around long term as a fixture @ #2 lets give him more than a little over 1/2 a season to show what he can do shall we?

Re: Taylor Effing Heinicke
I think he is good enough that we can stop bringing in aging Vet QBs to be the answer ..I’m all in for drafting a QB but please enough of the endless carousel of What we have done in past .

Re: Taylor Effing Heinicke
Are you all in for reaching for a QB in the 1st (because any QB taken in the 1st will be a reach)? Lets put it this way if Haskins, or Lock were coming out in 2022 They'd be ranked higher than any of the 2022 QB prospects.

Re: Taylor Effing Heinicke
How would you address that need in 2022? The draft is weak and using a 1st round pick would be a risk and bad risk at that. Rodgers? I can see that but that would be an all in move to win now. The downside of that trade would be expense and if it failed would wreck the team yet again for a few years - but unlike the draft would be a fairly good risk.

Re: Taylor Effing Heinicke
I don't think anybody is saying he's the franchise QB. But he can buy us some time and give us flexibility going forward, that's all.

Sure the odds are he isnt the long term elite starter or for that matter just an average long term starter because it is difficult. But realize any point you make that he isnt someone can make a point that they think he is at this point. The only thing your looking at is arm strength because he has some elite physical skills other then the arm. What makes me laugh is so many posters get hung up on arm strength. I keep hearing accuracy and mention of missed throws, sorry the 66% completion dont support that conclusion. So much more then just arm strength goes into being a good QB, so much more! He could be the long term solution - but in order for that to happen he has to be consistently above-average. The last two weeks is a good start but he needs to keep it going. And if he goes into next season as the starter and regresses again he loses all that goodwill he got from this year.
