When/if the redskins are completely out of the playoffs then change QBs and give the rookie a look, until then leave well enough alone.
Good argument.

I know people have said CP is not the homerun hitter the skins thought they were getting (I am one of them) but I dont know that anyone has called for CP to be replaced or benched. That would be idiotic. This thread is not about bashing, its about benching.

Re: Should Brunell be replaced?

I totally agree with you dude, i mean i love the redskins and J. Gibbs but i am pretty sure a guy off the street can do what Brunell did last weekend. To be honest we better play somebody who can throw the ball more than 30yds man! It is crazy that a professional quarterback cannot seem to throw the ball further than a high school kid. I support J. Gibss but to be honest it hurt me to see how great our defense played the other day and we still needed a damn kick off return to beat the cardinals. Now i am not jumping off the wagon but it may be time to get someone in who can throw the damn ball!

The question is...should Brunell be replaced for the Dallas game?

In my opinion i would not outright say Brunell should be replaced. But i do believe Gibbs ought to give Ramsey some snaps with the first team this week in addition to Brunell...and at least consider the possibility of a switch going into next week.

I am all for him being replaced!!! Is P. Manning available? If not then I guess we are going to have to go with the lady that we came to the dance with Brunell! Ramsey needs more then a few snaps to get ready! Why in the hell would you think Ramsey would be any better then he was when he lost the job??? What would be nice is another WR's but that isn't going to happen like Ramsey pulling off a Doug Williams!!!

And there's part of the problem Gibbs has put all his eggs in one basket and that's Brunell, I believe Ramsey is a better QB at this point in their carreers but I also agree that he would be thrown into a tough situation not really have played all season, Gibbs has frozen Ramsey out the best that he can, and at this point we can't afford to drop a game while Ramsey gets reaclamated back into the NFL, not IMO that it will matter becuase Brunell is going to blow one as he begins his exit from the NFL.

Another WR? I don't know how much of a difference that would make for Brunell, first you have to be able to get it to another WR, which he has had his problems doing, case and point Patten, Patten really didn't do anything with us and no one can say he's not a very good NFL WR, but Brunell and Gibbs seemed to bring out the worst in him, now we have an unproven commodity in Jacobs who gets the blame for not catching any balls, but is it truley his fault? Or is it the fact that Brunell just can't get him the ball, or Gibbs patterns are just to easy to cover? We might get the insight we seek by asking Patten what he thinks the problem is.

It's nice to know the Redskins have such supportive fans. :vomit:

Ramsey is a better QB than Brunell?

Based on what?

A gut feeling?

Everybody on this site thought PR was the best QB back in Sept.

Oh please not this again...please...I've barely recovered from the LAST Brunell-Ramsey debate.

You might want to check that, because I don't think everyone felt that way.

Offiss is saying at this point in their careers, Ramsey is the better QB. I'm saying based on what? Their on field performances? How? Brunell has clearly put up better numbers than Ramsey and he is clearly the more proven QB. That's not even debateable. If you compare what they've done on the field, I don't see how anyone can say Patrick Ramsey is a better QB than Mark Brunell, unless you're just biased. In that case, fine, but at least admit it.

Sorry I just couldn't resist.

It's like saying Betts is a better RB than Portis.

I'll I'm asking for is a logical rationale based on some sort of facts as to how Ramsey is a better QB than Brunell.
