I think Dan's options were slim at that point. Gibbs spoke highly of Rivera got to see his discipline first hand being down in North Carolina with Nascar. The problem is that coaching ideology does not fly in the now like it did in the 80s. He might be a no nonsense guy but that will only go so far.
