The CA governor recall election in 2021 had nothing to do with Trump and I made a joke about how you would respond. And you did exactly what we all knew you would do. The reason Trump gets brought up so much is because the GOP runs through him. Not getting the coveted Trump endorsement slims your prospects to get anywhere. And as has been said before, Elder is a Trumper through and through. Doesn't matter black/white/asian/latino, a vote for Elder is an endorsement of Trump. You lose credibility when you start claiming election fraud before the election is even over. And that's a page straight out of the Trump playbook.

You guys are so quick to prop up black conservatives as proof your policies are not rooted in racism, while ignoring the fact that the conservative vote often is willing to pander for the white supremacist vote (see "very fine people on both sides", circa 2017).

I wasn't trying to make the point of my post be about propping up Elder or black conservatives. I should have just left everything else out of my post. Less is more sometimes. I just thought the Newsom line was pretty rich.
