This seems to be a bigger problem in society today, but it seems like people only want to talk in absolutes. Fauci takes a lot of criticism for how he has handled the pandemic but rarely in science is anything absolute, so I don't blame him for modifying his stance as we learn more about COVID.

Like everything else these days even science isn't immune from being politicized. There used to be a day when science was trusted, but now with anti-vaccers, covid-deniers and everything in between nothing is immune from public criticism anymore.

Fauci has been a trusted advisor for the gov't for around 40 years so he must be doing something right. It's only since Trump targeted him to blame has his credibility been questioned. I blame Trump for that.
