From day one I said my support was for policies that I support. I still support those policies. I have also said from day 1 that Trump is an idiotic megalomaniac. I also said that being in Maryland, my vote counts for shit in both the primary and presidential election when it comes to the Republican nominee. That is still true. I said after the election that he lost, and that was that.

On Jan 20th if Trump doesn't leave office, arrest him, charge him with treason and trespass. That is how our system has worked, and will work for some time more. (To be fair, when I was in the army in 1994, I told several fellow MP's that I didn't think the democracy would last another 100 years - I only feel that stronger now).

What the rioters are doing now is disgraceful and illegal, and they should be treated accordingly.
