At this point, we won't have an opportunity to draft top 3-4 QBs in the draft unless we trade up. It's going to be Smith, Allen, rookie QB or Haskins next year. I'm having hard time believing that we would sign a QB replacement through FA.

I wouldn't rule out Stafford or Ryan if they come available

If either is available you have to make a big push, and the good thing is we're suddenly going to be a very desirable place to come to.

Yep with tons of $ to spend. You could grab Stafford and Marvin Jones TBH

So who is the cap expert here? Just how much $ does this team have to spend - compared to other teams? Because I thought Dallas would be in salary cap hell based on all the lucrative contracts they have put together over the past year or so, but they look to have more space than WFT on the site I was looking at...spotrac I think.

First thing before going crazy on spending is re-sign Scherff and Allen, have Smith and Collins reduce their salaries if possible. Don’t get crazy spending money cause we have more key FA’s the next year.

There would be no reason for Collins to agree to anything. We're most likely stuck with the huge number:

I'm a huge Scherff fan, but I'd much rather use that money to keep as much of our DLine than sink 14 mil per year into a guard.
