The article claims closed restaurants are going to lower the overall demand for food, that was temporarily sustained by panic buying. Could someone please explain how this makes sense? I would think people are going to consume the same amount of food daily whether they are eating out at a restaurant or at home. I know people probably will consume a higher food volume per meal on average eating out than they would at home, but most people I know make up for it by skipping the next meal or just eating a snack. |
