A gofundme page to have the fans buy the team like the Packers.

Snyder will never sell the team. I’m talking about a real fan based push for publicly pressuring Snyder for change.

Re: Jay Gruden fired

Plucked from an article on ESPN.con on Vontae Davis retiring in the middle of a game:

Meanwhile, 375 miles away in D.C., where his Redskins were playing the Colts, Vernon had just entered the locker room at halftime. He saw a missed call from his brother, which was odd -- they never called each other during games. So he called back and asked if everything was OK.

Are you kidding me? Gruden let players use cell phones at halftime? I thought it was bad when I read Tomsula gave players cell phone breaks in the middle of meetings when HC of the 49ers. Bad enough, but in the middle of a game?

Honestly in today's day and age most guys probably have phones in the locker rooms, it's just the nature of our lifestyle now.

I read where a lot of teams have guys leave their cell phones in the hall before they enter meeting rooms. What meeting is more important than half time in a locker room?

I realize I am old school, I played the game through college back in the day when screwing up got you running extra laps, wind sprints, yanked around by the face mask, hit in the helmet with clip boards, footballs thrown at you, etc, etc. When I was in High School the O-line coach was built like Arnold Swarzenegger, if you were caught not paying attention in practice he would pancake your ass and he was in shorts and a golf shirt. The logic there was you would get it a lot worse if you were on the field and had your head up your ass.
If caught not paying attention to a coach the consequences were not pretty.

My favorite guy to listen to on the radio is Doc Walker, he shares a lot of my views. I am sure it has nothing to do with the fact we are the same age,ha,ha. I just think things have gone too far the other way when it comes to discipline.

To be honest, I think we are nitpicking on little things now. What if it was a family emergency? The article specifically pointed out the fact that the brothers never called each other during the games so naturally Vernon called back to see what's up.

What did people do in case of family emergencies at work before cell phones?
I am pretty sure there aren't any New England Patriots using cell phones at half time, maybe I am wrong.

In the olden days, his brother would have called the office and in this case there would have been a note to call his brother, and he would have likely left to go to an office phone and check if everything was ok, since calling during the game would be highly unusual.

Having a cell phone simply made it an easier resolution.
