Re: Around the NFL Week 11
I'm not a hater, I just think they severely overpaid for his services. He's a good, just not special as McCloughan put it.

Re: Around the NFL Week 11
He is a borderline top ten QB, nothing more nothing less. The money he got paid probably won't look so crazy after a couple more of the top ten QB get new contracts.

Tier 1 Aaron Rodgers Drew Brees Tom Brady Phillip Rivers Matt Ryan These are the only QBs I would pay that upper echelon money for. I don't give a fuck what the market calls for. These QBs can carry a team if they have to or called upon. Most other QBs cannot and have not. This tier 1 list are absolutely game changers and that's why you pay them 28-30+mil a year. I'd rather pay 23 mil/yr for a game changer like Aaron Donald/Kahlil Mack than 23mil for a game manager like Alex Smith. You are better off putting resources into the OL/DL/etc and rolling with a guy like McCoy than overpaying for a guy who's average (or slightly above) at his position.

Re: Around the NFL Week 11
No matter how good a QB looks he has to play well in year two as a starter before I will put him up with the A grade guys. There have been too many one year wonders that defenses yanked the rug out from under after enough film was out on them. Remember when RG3 and Kap were mentioned as part of the next generation of top QBs? Also the offensive weapons on KC are full on bad ass.

Leads league in fumbles and batted passes at the LOS. Had 2 horrendous INT's , one of them he threw into triple coverage and the other he just floated in the air because pressure was coming. It's time to admit that Kirk is what we all knew he was. Good but not a guy that can carry an offense. BTW his team which is far more talented than us has a worse record.
