But many time they came close and lost on one of Kirk's brain farts, one stupid drop, or the injured D collapsing late in the 4th...
Maybe that changes with Alex and new talent.

Plus last year's early wins against the Raiders and the Rams could be defined as upsets, couldn't they?

Why are you honing in on circumstances where the were a dog by a TD or more? Seems kind of random and I’m not sure what the point is.

Somebody said anybody can beat anybody on any given Sunday, that doesn't seem the case with Jay Gruden as coach with the Redskins the role of the underdog.

In all honesty I feel that's something Gruden HAS brought to our team. We may not win 10+ games a year but I feel confident about going against any team in the league these days.

More to the point, I think that Gruden has made the team more competitive, and so we aren't really 7pt underdogs that often.

I don't recall too many of them either. But we have a better QB now and this is probably our most talented roster overall we've had in a long time and for sure in the whole Gruden era.
