Keim had a nice lil blurb about this situation a month or so ago. It all depends on this year, because looking at the cap numbers (per Keim) its not a stretch to pay a top corner what he is due. Also, Norman is a "fit" on the team...the org also like having his positive presence in the media, on shows, etc.

I think his contract though next year makes it much much easier to move on from with dead money...which I think is essentially the cap hit of a signing bonus.

If I had to guess...Reed is the guy worth paying attention too in regards to big contract vs on field value. I have a feeling we drafting a TE very high next year.

Just a guess here but I'm willing to bet Khalil Mack is traded and we are a top 3 team in that race. Wouldn't shock me if we got him, yes it will be expensive but he's a top 3 player in the league on Defense and in his prime. Would u do it?

im just happy the younger guys have shown enough to have moved him out - someone also mentioned the possibility of this being to free up space for a move ... perhaps RB?

Are we trading a pick or player (s)?

Sure, if the price is right ... both the trade price and any long term deal he signs.

It may be hard to convince a team to give up a fortune in draft picks for the right to pay Mack a fortune in cash.
Preston Smith and a 2nd rounder is all I would give for him. However, I don't expect that would be nearly enough. BTW the article has says:

Quote:
the Packers, at 11-4 odds, are the favorites. They’re followed by the Bills at 7-1, the Cowboys, Colts and Jets at 8-1, Washington at 9-1 and the Steelers at 12-1.

I agree about Norman, he reminds me of DeAngelo Hall in a way. I think he will become a Redskin staple, and the money/contracts will work themselves out.

Reed is different. If this year he stays healthy, Alex and him will light up the NFL and the Skins will be in a rock and a hard place about paying him.

Probably would have to be both. Imagine Mack and RK together

They always have Dallas as a team going after a player lol geez that shit gets old, I would LOVE Mack, I can say I'd be ok with giving up our 1 and 3 next yr for him.

After practice, Pryor was pursued by members of the Washington media. He declined interviews, reportedly saying, "I'm ready to get the f--- out of here."

Bye bitch

Looks like Pryor is already in the dog house with the Jets:

Re: Training Camp 2018

Sounds like Scandrick wasn’t a good fit in the DB room, wasn’t fitting in, even questioning coaches

Speaking on behalf of the national capitol area (and I don't even live there these days), we're ready for you to get the F out as well.
