1/6/18:*Wynn has impressed scouts this season as an excellent run blocker for the Bulldogs. He blocks with aggression and has a temperament that is hard to find in college blockers. In pass protection, Wynn has been very dependable as well.*

Because he is shorter and doesn't have ideal length, some sources think that Wynn could move to guard or center in the NFL. Wynn started at left guard in 2016, but scouts think he is athletic enough to also play center. Wynn's size and skill set has drawn comparisons to Kelvin Beachum, who is undersized but has managed to carve out a career at left tackle in the NFL. Wynn is just a natural football player who finds a way to get the job done, thus he might end up sticking at left tackle.

I like this kid, could be a good pick up if he drops to the 3rd or 4th.

Maybe, but I would sign FA G Norwell and save the picks for defense

Yeah, he's apparently the best guard in the league and young, but he's probably going to command close to 13 mil / year. I'm not sure we can sink that much into G. Certainly not if we sign Cousins.

Also, we have our own homegrown talent to sign (Spencer Long). Im not sure we need a high priced probowler, it's already our strongest unit. Injuries do happen though, and it seems like you need to always be developing young lineman. I really like some of our backup guys like Nsekhe and Kouandjo, but we need a young versatile guy or two that can be plugged in anywhere on the line and be at least good and potentially develop into the next starter wherever they fit best on the line.

$13 million would be the highest paid guard in the NFL. I would pay him $10.

Reportedly the Redskins are not interested in signing Long. And Kouandjo is nothing special.

I really don't know Norwell, and not that this is a definitive source, but if it is accurate that he rates out as the best Guard in the NFL this year than I would expect as a free agent he would be looking to be the highest paid.

That's interesting about Long, where have you heard this? From everything that I have read he seems to be a solid starter, but I haven't paid close attention.

Re: 2018 Mock Drafts

Thanks, ok, I guess I can get behind that if they don't think he's strong at guard, it would have been nice to have a built in backup at center, but that can be accomplished with someone who is also a strong starter at guard.

What concerns me more from that article though is Zach Brown, he was really a difference maker, if they aren't able to pay him I wonder what the plan would be to replace him.

The Skins can afford to pay Zach Brown what he's worth - probably $7M per - but they just don't want to pay him. Same dumb-ass FO we all know! The guy was a true stud for us, but NO.
