Re: NFL Free Agent Signings

I swear, the NFL should just prevent any team from trading with the Patriots:

The New England Patriots are considering trading Malcolm Butler to the New Orleans Saints for Brandin Cooks per sources

Per Shefter:

Britt to Cleveland
Kalil to re-unite with his brother in Carolina (that should be a hell of an OL)
Gilmore to NE

So maybe the Skins will go after Pryor?

Kenny Britt is a very disappointing signing by #Browns if it means they are losing Terrelle Pryor.

Re: NFL Free Agent Signings

Yeah if the Patriots get Cooks for Butler on top of stealing Dwayne Allen.....yikes.

Also, no thanks on Pryor. He's not a guy I want in my locker room even though he's a good player.

Re: NFL Free Agent Signings

Why do the Saints seem so hell bent on getting rid of Brandin Cooks? Weird. He's still young and really good and his contract is not up.

They want picks/cap space to build up their defense; and they think that with Brees they can win with any WRs.

Re: NFL Free Agent Signings

This is a really mediocre crop of free agents in my opinion. Glad we're staying out of it.

I would've like Garcon back, but that money he got is beyond crazy.

I love how teams try to justify dumping elite talent. Getting rid of a top player at one position to improve at another seems pretty circular to me. And Brees is getting old. Will the next qb "not need"" any good receivers?
