It only matters if we lose to the eagles. If we were to lose to the eagles we would want NYG to beat the Vikings so they are playing with a chance against the Eagles.

At this point there are only 2 scenarios that get the Redskins in the playoffs, the first (and preferable) is

beat Philly. Then we are in.

The second, and much worse odds,
lose to philly,
then have NYG beat Philly and we beat Dallas.

NYG's Minnesota game has no direct bearing on us.

if Philly wins out they are in.

if we lose out, and the Giants beat Philly, the Giants are in.


on a side note,

I liked the change in tact at Gruden's press conference yesterday. Until now, all I had heard - and heard players repeating - is it's all out in front of them. Yesterday, he changed the mantra to we have a responsibility as a first place team to play sound solid football. It is a subtle shift, but if the team takes it on, then that shows that he really is leading the locker room and team, and that is a good sign.
