We were not in a great position to win. I'm not asking for a pretty win, but I'd like to see our coaching staff do a better job at responding to schemes done by the opposing defense. The way that the game was going, there was little that told me that the offense could have made something with that drive.

DJax made a ridiculously boneheaded play. He also scored a TD to tie the game. But at the end of the day, all that SHIT is a little too late because the offense couldn't do squat for 99 percent of the game.

I know we are devoid of talent in certain areas. But I don't think the team looked this helpless when playing against the Pats or Carolina. I have a huge issue with the coaching staff not being able to prepare/motivate players for an important game (see first Giants game) or not being able to react and adjust.

We lost to Matt Fucking Cassell because the offense couldn't muster points early in the game and the team put themselves into a situations at the end of the game that left little room for error.

Bitch all you want about DJax, but the same stupid mistakes keep happening and we're going to continue to lose winnable games.

I said plenty of things could have changed last night. But please do not compare a kicker missing a fg to a player taking his team 23 yards in the wrong direction and than coughing up the ball with 2-1/2 minutes left to a missed kick? Yeah djax tied it up but we never should have had to tie it up. We were in a great position to win. We had the ball with 2-1/2 minutes left and should have had decent field position. In a tie game. We should have needed roughly 25-30 yards to kick a fg and could have used up time while they used up timeouts. How is that not being in a great position to win?

The way the defense was playing the whole game, none of this should have happened period. And focusing on the missed Hopkins FG or Jackson's fumble or Special Teams giving the Cowpukes good field position on the last drive, diminishes the fact that the offense had plenty of opportunities to put this game out of reach and even away early on. Hell, a first half TD would have probably done the job.

Dallas has the second ranked pass d and in yards allowed. They are no joke. Tony Romo does not play D.
Can you imagine if Djax had fielded the punt, and than Cousins snapped the ball on first down and avoiding a rush ran backwards 23 yards trying to keep the play alive? But wait than fumbled the ball on our own 7 yard line? Lmao. You say im harping on djax. I feel he is getting a huge pass.

I'm just sick of these last minute situations happening because the team can get its shit together earlier in the game and wasting opportunities given to them by the offense.

I was pissed off about DJax blunder too. But I'm more upset at seeing the 3 takeaways with only 3 points to show for. And I'm more upset at this because:
a) it has happened before, b) the DJax blunder probably won't happen again, and c) the team will very likely again have a similar game again this season.

I can say the same thing about the missed FG by Hopkins.

I agree with everything but in the big picture if we thought this team was "at best" a six win team before the season - well than u have to now still feel that way. This is that team. Dont be so sure about DJax not doing this again either. There are plenty of college teammates and eagle fans that werent surprised in the slightest. Christ he just pulled a stunt similar last week against the Gints. It is a pattern that has followed him his entire career. I thought that he had matured as a Skin. I was wrong. I also mentioned before that of the three turnovers we got points on one. We should have gotten points on another but the refs screwed us. We are about 5-7 players/starters away from fielding a seriously competitive team. A couple of those guys are already here but hurt. Watch what SM does with FA and the draft. We will be damn good next year. All this being said - smile because we still control our own destiny in a true rebuilding year. That is just a bonus. HTTR
