Short answer, no. I gave a longer answer elsewhere. Would have to look for it

Re: Darrell Green does not support Redskin name change

^ I like it.

And honestly, the only way I see a name change coming is if enough companies start talking about dropping deals with the NFL or the Redskins that a name change would be forced. If DS started losing profit out the ying-yang he would seriously consider it. And if enough people start protesting/media stops using the name that could eventually happen.

True. We could have a potato mascot just so it seems legit.

The protests in Denver targeted players and apparently were bigger than in Green Bay. Another protest is planned for Minnesota.

I have some native american blood in me and i really do not get this. Seems like these people have too much time on their hands. I still say the cleveland "indians" is more offensive with the damn goofy cartoon dude.

I think today's meeting between Goodell and DS is the beginning of the end for Washington's football team being called the Redskins.

I don't think anything comes from today. It's more of a let's sit down with the other side just to placate them for a while.

I agree with Matty. Also what makes you guys think DS is going to cave? You dont get to where he is by caving.

I agree punch but I think he'll be forced to do it eventually.

Re: Darrell Green does not support Redskin name change

I dont think its about DS caving or the Skins/NFL placating the other side. I think this meeting is to begin to develop a unified message so that DS and the NFL can change the Skins name all the while maintaining that the word Redskins isnt a slur.

I also think they are going to get together on how to market the new name and logo to maximize the huge profits that are guaranteed to come from this change. This change is going to be a huge win-win for everybody.
