Re: Landry is MIA
You're probably right, I lose track of who's calling who. But i thought I remember he was in touch with someone from the Redskins.

Hopefully, this is just a baseless rumor. However, while its possible Landry may not want out of D.C., i tend to think there's more to Landrys absence than meets the eye.

Re: Landry is MIA
I think it's a stretch to say he wants out.

Re: Landry is MIA
Yeah what the hell! I've never heard about Landry wanting out before this thread and whatever rumor came up. Where would he want to play? Few defenses have the potential this one does now...

Re: Landry is MIA
I would hope it isn't true, but on the other hand, if he wants out & the team could somehow get a mint for him, let him go. As it is now, he's a good free safey but he's highly paid for the role he plays & I think it's a relatively deep position. K. Moore looks like he could work out.

Re: Landry is MIA
This whole "not returning calls/texts" thing just smacks of ego and self importance, not to mention unprofessional and passive aggressive. Kind of High School pouty girlfriend-ish. If I had to guess, I'd say her feelings are hurt from when Danny started paying more attention to D'Angelo halfway through last semester.

a)the #1 fastest safety in the entire league. The resource of elite speed is best allocated to the essential coverage of open space responsibilities that are the paramount role of any safety in the first place. b)not quite big enough to dish out punishment on the likes of Brandon Jacobs and Marion Barber without breaking down during the course of a season with the full time run stopping duties of a SS in the NFC East. Landry is very versatile and could be a good SS, but it would be a massive waste of his talent which is 100% suited to FS in the NFL. Last edited by wilsowilso; 06-05-2009 at 05:05 PM. |

Re: Landry is MIA
Landry is not MIA.
This is the OFF SEASON. Leave the guy alone. Either the NFL changes the name of VOLUNATRY workouts to mandatory workouts or NFL coaches and FO people need to keep their mouths shut when a player decides to pass on voluntary WO's. Why is Zorn airing team issues in the press? Zorn is the one that sounds like a child," I think it's disappointing to his teammates as well (that Landry is not here)," Zorn said. Some of the players were crying and very upset. What is so life theatening that Landry needs to return these calls? To hear his coaches complain and try to guilt him to come in on his off time? Landry is not a lazy fat cow like some of our other players that need to be watched, babied and put on diets. Landry is a fit professional and knows how to prepare for the season. The coaches are not installing a new playbook. They are not re-inventing the wheel. This is football not brain surgery. The OTA's really geared to lazy guys our rookie WR's from last year that show up to their first NFL camp and did care enough to be in shape, thus they played like shit. Let Landry enjoy his time away from work and allow him to be a happy Redskin. |

Re: Landry is MIA
As for his exact location right now I can't tell you, But, I can confirm that Landry, his brother, and a former teammate at LSU are in the gym AT LEAST 5 days a week. A good friend of mine works out at the same gym in Slidell, ( where Laron lives), and says he sees them almost every time he goes. (4-5 days a week)
