When he blows an assignment in the regular season and the next day Zorn says, 'Well we covered that in OTA's and he missed learning that play' then I will concern myself over his attendance in June. Otherwise, I'm not alarmed.

So long as he isn't sitting at home munching on Louisiana food he'll be alright.

He dosen't need this stupid shit, but he should at least be in contact with the coach if they are trying to reach him, I mean, the amount of money he makes warrants him to at least answer a call or text back!

What's the callback threshold? Do players getting the veteran's minimum not have to call the coach back but those making over a million do?

I've never understood why what the players make is a leverage point for what they should or shouldn't do.

One of the ironies of OTAs & nfl teams attempting to prepare in the off-season. What is supposed to be a team building & learning experience has the potential to be the opposite when guys don't show.

If players & coaches are upset by it then it's an issue, otherwise it should easily be forgotten by camp.

This seems to be how Landry rolls I guess. He's also skipped countless autograph sessions and media interviews the past couple of years. It's unfortunate, but at the end of the day I just want him to show up on the field on Sundays in the fall (and the occasional Monday)

Im fine with players staying home this time of year. I'd rather they be there, but I feel like after a 16+ game season, your body takes a beating. Give it a bit longer to recover. All they do is lift or run.

However, there's no excuse to ever not call the coach back. I can not condone that. Always call the coach/owner/gm back immediately.

Kinda funny how Springs got ripped a new one for doing the same thing, but Landry seems to get a pass. Interesting.

Personally I don't have a problem with players skipping out on voluntary workouts.

Is it the same thing though? Springs, in my opinion, shouldn't have gotten much grief. He's a proven veteran who was working out on his own in Arizona while trying to take care of sick family members at the same time. Plus, best as I can recall, he kept in communication with the team. Is the same thing going on with Landry? Doesn't seem that way.

Maybe he's out on the bayou rasslin' gators with Patrick Ramsey

I don't generally have a problem with it, but as I pointed out in the OTA thread, he's literally the only player not there. So that's kind of a bummer. When every single player has the work ethic to show up, and one of our star players who I was hoping would have an interest in becoming a leader is MIA and doesn't even have the courtesy to return a phone call/text message.

Like SS said though, it's how he rolls. He seems like a douche.

I could be wrong but I thought Springs wasn't returning calls or texts from Zorn last year.

Yea, it is voluntary. Who cares if he comes in a has a good season. This is just the only thing to talk about right now.
