I know we probably shouldnt give this any cred at all, but more tha one person has evidently suggested to Florio that Landry's endgame is not showing up on the field for the Redskins on Sundays (and the occasional Monday) in the fall:

But is there a deeper issue? We’ve heard some suggestions that perhaps there could be, and whispers that Landry possibly wants out of D.C.

Indeed, the organization apparently assumes that Landry is working out a couple thousand miles from Redskins Park. “You don’t go to Arizona to become a player; maybe to get in shape but not to become a player,” Jackson said Wednesday.

But we’ve been told that, at least at times, Landry has been hanging out in the Washington area.

So we’ll keep an eye on this one. In the end, the player picked right before Adrian Peterson could be playing for another team.

IF (notice the bold) Landry feels, like many of us do, that Jackson isnt taking advantage of his skills in the current scheme (Landry should be playing SS, not FS), then I could see him wanting out. As a practical matter, if Landry isnt used properly, then it minimizes his ability to reach his maximum potential, go to pro-bowls, and ultimately get the biggest contract extension when his rookie deal expires.

Hopefully, this is just a baseless rumor. However, while its possible Landry may not want out of D.C., i tend to think there's more to Landrys absence than meets the eye.
