I'm not against the guy being paid, but these cap hits for guys who will never play another down are insane (not limited to AS.) If I were an owner I'd never sign another CBA that allows cap hits for guys who are physically unable to perform again.

We are not really "crippled" (also what a poor choice of words given AS' injury) with our salary cap seeing as we now have the 2nd highest amount available. And if the salary cap allowed exceptions for injured players than you would basically create a huge loophole for teams to exploit. We suffered a bigger, and more unfair, salary cap penalty at the start of the last CBA and ultimately it had little bearing on the success or failure of the Skins.
