So this essentially ends his preseason, or at best maybe he gets some action in the last game. Fred Davis is going to have a real shot to show out as TE 1.

A blessing in disguise, perhaps? Cooley is the kind of player whose versatility will fit in nicely to an already established offense, like the one he will be returning to.
