Under Gibbs I think the impression was that he was in control, but in reality Gibbs never said I'm calling the shots, he always referred to a joint decision making process with Danny and Vinny and the coaches.

Perhaps we all just wanted to think Danny wasn't involved, but I'm starting to think he's been involved all along and never really took a significant step back. The presence of Gibbs just made us feel better about it.

I don't think he's really much more or less involved than he ever was. But it's a myth that his involvement means others aren't. Seems that people think Zorn is vacationing on some island while everything is happening and he has no input in anything. Zorn isn't Steve Spurrier. He's very involved.
