Re: Ravens Win Helps Us???
No...because we have the tie breaker with them and a Vikings win will pull their record even with ours. So a Vikings win nothing changes and if they lose they are out of the playoff hunt.

Re: Ravens Win Helps Us???
If Ravens win I believe the Vikings are eliminated. The playoff race becomes a two man team...Skins and the Boys. If we win, we are in, if we lose and the Boys win they are in. If both the Skins and the Boys lose, we are in.

Re: Ravens Win Helps Us???
If carolina loses and the cowboys win this weekend, the cowboys will be in right? If that is true then if we lose we need the cowboys and or carolina to lose and we still make it, is any of this right?

I'm not even looking at any scenarios that involve us losing... win and we're in, that's all I need to know right now.

Re: Ravens Win Helps Us???
If we win, we are in. Where we get seeded depends on several other teams. We could be the 6th seed, the 5th seed, the 4th seed or the 3rd. Don't ask me to go into all of them, but the best situation would be the Skins winning and the Raiders finding a way to beat the Giants, otherwise, the Skins could be headed back to New Jersey to face the Giants in the Wildcard round. The vikings lost tonight means that we only care about the cowboys on Sunday night, IF the Skins lose. If they win, we will know before the Cowboy/Rams game where we are and that game will be meaningless!

If we don't win we don't deserve to get in!

Re: Ravens Win Helps Us???
ofcourse it helps us. If we lose we have a big chance of still getting in. If dallas loses we are in if we win we are in. Only one of those two things have to happen. carolina isn't even in OUR rear view right now because there is no way that WE can take their spot. Dallas needs to win and just one loss between carolina and us and they are in so they also have a good chance. Lets just win but this game was extremely meaningful.

Re: Ravens Win Helps Us???
The biggest thing is the fact that we havent won in Philly since 2001. I know they had much better teams every year since then, but their offense is the only part thats suffering, and they've had a little time to gel. Their D is still pretty good (didn't they have like 9 D guys go to the pro bowl last year or something rediculous?)
Having said that, I know we can beat them... I just hope our team doesn't play like they know they can beat them. The game doesn't have to be as close as the Arizona game was. We should go in there and put them away early and have a sack/pick fest in the second half like we did against the cowboys. Also, I think the Raiders have a decent chance against the Giants. Our moss burned their secondary like it was nothing, and as long as they can hold the gints running game in check I'll take Randy Moss in a matchup against their secondary any day. Who cares about a pass rush if all you have to do is take a snap and heave a ball in the air?? It would be soo sweet to take the division this year. |
