Advice for posting threads

Just a little advice based on some trends we're seeing lately.

First, please use the search function before posting a thread, especially if it's a popular topic, Gregg Williams possibly leaving after this season for example.

Second, when posting a new thread try to use a descriptive title rather than short one or two word titles. This helps when someone is scanning the threads to see what's being discussed. I don't know about you guys, but I'm much more likely to click on a thread that reads "Joe Gibbs smashmouth football" for example rather than a thread simply titled "Joe Gibbs".

thanks guys

Why name them well when you guys have been doing a great job renaming them for us?!?! Give us a toe we'll take a foot...or something like that.

If they are descriptive they don't get re-named.

I think he meant "Why should we try to avoid mistakes if the moderators are so good at fixing them?" (tongue-in-cheek).

I would also point out to folks that the "New Thread" button is only on the home page of each forum, and not on the thread page or the forum directory page. I've seen a few questions in threads asking how to create a new thread.

Re: Advice for posting threads

Is "This and That" descriptive enough for a thread title?

Purely joking around. No need to get defensive.
