Marcus Washington's Late Hit

The hit washington put on witten. Yes it was late(the whistle did blow). But damn that set the tone for the rest of the day!!!

Plus it knocked whitten out for a quarter.

Wait a minute, Witten wasn't out of bounds. So why did the official blow the whistle? That pissed the Redskins off.

Re: Late Hit

I was at the game and right in perfect view of the hit and it didn't look late at all to me. But I'm biased, haha.

But I absolutely agree that it was huge in terms of setting the tone for the rest of the day.

Re: Late Hit

BS call straight up. Refs once again going outside their jobs to make a call. It was pretty clear the ref threw the flag fully expecting him to be going out of bounds rather than letting the play develop. It is amazing how each week these guys make simply egregiously bad calls.

Re: Late Hit

Agreed, BS call - just as the Moss catch was a TD. IMO, he wasn't touched until he got in the end zone. Anyway, why complain about the refereeing in a blow out win.

I had great seats today - 1st row, upper level at the 40yd line. The atmosphere was electric. When it was 21-0, I made the mistake of standing in line in the concession stands, and could only watch Cooley's 3rd TD and the Betts run for a TD at the start of the second half on TV. Who'd have thought we'd have 3 TDs in a 5 min span between the halves.

One of the most memorable experiences for me at Fedex occured when a skirmish erupted between skins and boys fans in the mens room. Slogans such as "Dallas sucks, Eagles swallow, and the Giants lick up afterwards" were uttered loudly, much to the chagrin of many Dallas fans.

I won't be in town next week, but hope there's a rabid 92,000 turnout for the Giants game. As Parcells rightly acknowledged - Dallas didn't have a chance of winning today.

Re: Late Hit

Great hit, totally legal--but whatever the refs want to say, it had the desired effect on the cowgirls!

Marcus was an absolute beast today (as was Daniels, and the D in general. I envy all y'all who were there!

Re: Late Hit

Even my cousin, who is a Dallas fan, said the call was bad but like hurrykaine said why complain about the refereeing in a blow out win?

Re: Late Hit

The hit took out the cowhores ace in the hole for almost a 1/2. By the time he got back in the game, it was 21-0 and he was still seeing cobwebs. I thought the flag was bad, but the ref was blowing the whistle and they blew the whistle because forward progress was stopped, not because he was out of bounds.

The hit was clean, and in the end took away the #1 thing the skins D would have had some trouble with yesterday....a very good TE.

Re: Marcus Washington's Late Hit

What blows my mind is that the ref was no more than 2 to 3 yards away.and still blew the call, like he had his mind made up before hand.that ref should be de-striped. that's all i'll say because i am still getting jiggy about the win.the wicked witch is dead.
