New twist to the Patriots trade...

Quote:
Redskins | Trading Down With Patriots Unlikely - from www.KFFL.com
Fri, 23 Apr 2004 11:33:37 -0700

The Washington Post reports if the Washington Redskins trade down from the No. 5 overall selection in the April 24-25 NFL Draft, it would likely be for lower picks. One possibility involves the New England Patriots, who are rumored to be interested in NFL draft prospect S Sean Taylor (Miami, FL), giving up their two first-round choices (No. 21 and No. 32 overall) and possibly Patriots CB Ty Law to the Redskins for the No. 5 pick. However, an anonymous Redskins official has dismissed the possibility of trading for Law after Washington signed CB Shawn Springs in free agency.
This is little more interesting...

The Patriots want Taylor that just shows how great of a player he is, they always have an eye for talent. Forget the trade we should take him!!! We wouldn't have the money for Ty Law anyway.

I would take him and trade him immediately to a team that needs a CB. The benefit from that trade is the 2 picks

i like that thinking and we could possibly work something out with a team like atlanta or even better yet the Jets cuz that'd give law the access to play the patriots twice a year and he might be more willing to work out a decent contract with them and we'd probably have to throw in the last pick in the first round or the 2nd rounder. then we could try and get wilfork or udeze with the pick from atlanta or the jets and ben troupe with the 21st pick.

Getting Ty Law would be stupid. We would have so many CBs competing and all getting big paychecks. It would also mean the departure of Smoot next year. We would being booting one of our true Redskins for an pompus overpaid player. WHo is great, but has a big attitude and isnt a team player if he trashes his coach all the time.

he doesn't trash his coach, he trashes his general manager. i know that's the same person but it's what ty law said . plus don't forget about his stupidity for running away from police and trying to bring drugs across the canadian border.

yea theres plenty of cheesy possabilities...either way he shouldnt be a Redskin. The only way I would do that trade is if we first worked out deals that allowed us to use the two first round pick, Ty Law, Gardner and Trotter to get the 2nd and 4th picks in the draft and take Taylor and Winslow and then LAUGH at New Englad.
