Another Litmus Test This Weekend

Before the 49ers game, I said here that the Skins needed to get on top of a team they were clearly superior to and show some "killer instinct" by not taking their foot off the 49ers' throat. They did that.

This week is the same thing. The Cards are bad - not just sorta bad, they're bad! The Skins have superior talent in just about every match-up you'd want to make (except punter) and they have a significantly superior head coach. The Skins need to show again that they can take a bad team and simply maul them into submission.

Winning is what counts and the score does not really matter as long as it is a win. But against these jamokes, the Skins should win by double-digits - - or the coahcing staff should have them running extra laps after practice for the next two weeks.

Yeah, right now it's all about swagger!! But anything can happen on any given Sunday - we just can't walk into Sun Devil and throw our cleats on the field and expect the Cards to roll over.

This game is more about proving to ourselves that we're good and hungry!

We need to crush them, but we also need to recognize it for what it is. We got a little high on ourselves after the 49ers game and didn't perform well for the next few weeks. That (obviously) won't fly at this point in the season.

I know this is painfully obvious but every game from here on out is a must win situation.

The Skins need to take Boldin and Fitzgerald out of the game. Their running game is pretty much non-existant, so if you put pressure on Warner and blanket Boldin and Fitzgerald, the Skins should win walking away.

They also need to prep for the stretch run, where they play Dallas and the G-men. Use the Cards to work on and perfect their game plan against these 2 teams. Philly should roll over and play dead...as they have lost their offense.

The Skins and the Cards have scored just about the same amount of points this season so I dont see this as a blowout for the skins. Historically the skins have not done well going out to AZ so this is a game they better be careful with. The skins will win but it wont be by more than a TD.

Their D line is virtually nonexistant without Bertrand Berry, who is not playing. We will run all day on them and control the whole game. What worries me is that we have to play the Cowboys after two pretty easy weeks for our O line, and they are going to have to play their best in that one.

Re: Another Litmus Test This Weekend

I said it another post, and I'll say it again, will it be just blind luck if the skins don't let one of those two WR's GO COMPLETELY OFF? I mean, for some reason we let good players look great, in a big way. I'm terrified of this game ... those guys a capable up putting up MONSTER numbers, not jsut good numbers.

I really don't think that this team is going to lay down like we all want, and I really don't think that we are strong favorites to win this game, only because we have this brutal tendency to let one guy go off and be the difference in the game ....

Fitzgerald two best games this year are 155 and 141 receiving yards, and Boldin's two best performances - 162 and 156 receiving yards! THATS SCARY! Thats almost as many yards as our 2nd leading receiver has all season in just 4 games ....

Well, we did just play the likes of Bruce & Holt and neither of them made much noise.

Re: Another Litmus Test This Weekend

forget about the two recievers, ball control and getting to warner pave the way for a somewhat easy skins victory.the only way we lose if we turn the ball over.portis is in for a good game due to our line improving every week and matty could run on their defense

Re: Another Litmus Test This Weekend

At this point in the season, it is all about pride for the teams going nowhere and the Cardinals are going nowhere. If the Skins can get up early on them and get some momentum, I think the Cardinals will quit playing a little bit. On the the other side of the field, the Skins are still playing for something, which should be incentive enough to play hard the whole game. The Skins will win, otherwise the last 3 games will mean nothing.
