Clinton Portis and what he means to this team.
Clinton Portis an interesting player.
1. He is a slightly above average NFL RB. He is not a great clutch player. He has good speed and not too much power. Off and on, he can block well. 2. He is a great character and a locker room leader, he also gets along well with the media. bottom line: He is a young RB from Miami, which (because of the hype and prestrige surrounding the school) makes him seem better than he really is. He cannot handle a full workload. He has a 50 mil contract but needs a #2 back to give him a break one of every 3 series.

Portis is def. in my opnion the most overrated player in the nfl. He's the perfect example of the success in denver being due to the system and not the RB.

Do we really need another Portis thread?
