Naw, expensive retreads all. If they will take the minimum, maybe Barrow, or Brackens.

Brackens would be a good pickup, or Bratzke. They would have to take big pay cuts but we need some help on the dline still.
Lol, Sam Shade or Sean Taylor, mabye we should start a thread seeing how everyone feels about that

wouldn't st play fs though? I liked shade a few years ago for us he played well and would be better then bowen who gets burned on almost every pass. I agree that Bratzke could be an ok pick up if we get him cheap. |

Flowers used to be one of the hardest hitting safetys in the league, but his coverage skills fell off and wasnt that good anymore. He just go old. Lee wouldnt be a good move for us. Taylor would probably play free safety for us. Bowen did get burnt a lot but we had bad defensive schemes, he was running aroudn a lot trying to make up for bad play calling. It didnt help when Smoot went out and we didnt have a cover that could step in. Id rather have Iffy than Bowen, but Bowen has a contract already. They might not decide until after preseason. Wouldnt hurt to have depth, mabye cut Terrell or Todd Franz, if they are even still on teh roster.

I like the idea of Brackens, if we can get him near the minimum. He'd help the pass rush.
Didn't we make an offer to Barrows? I think he may want a bit more than we're willing to pay at this point. I figure we're gonna get a few vets after the cap cuts. That's a place where Gibbs likes to find folks. Also, look out for the undrafted rookies/FAs! Remember Joe Jacoby!
