Good Outing For LaVar

Needless to say LaVar made his presence felt with his first extended playing time of the season. Let's hope his play continues to develop as the competition gets better in the coming weeks. Good game today however, and I hope this is the beginning of our discussions not being dominated by the topic of him not playing.

Go Skins!!!!

It was great to see LaVar out there making plays, he was a force and we really need him to keep that up going forward.

It would be great to see him reach his potential for the first time this year. With our D being as strong as it is, he could push us to the next level.

I was glad Lavar made the most of his opportunities on the field today! We need him playing like that...especially next week.

yeah, glad to see him get his feet wet, would have been great to get a sack out of him,I wish he would develop a spin move,he's got the speed, when he tries to bullrush he looks like he gets blocked easily, but great performance today out of the team, does anybody know who lavar replaces when he's on the field?

It was great to see Lavar on the field. The guy just makes plays. He could be just what we need to move up to the next level. Hopefully that is just what we did today!

LaVar is a beast and everyone knows that he just had to earn his time like everyone else. Remember Sean Taylor had to earn his starting position back after being placed on the 3rd string. To tell you the truth the sky is the limit for us with the offense clicking on all cylinders it is bad news for the rest of the league. Finally, trade Patrick for a de.(John Abraham)

Lavar is back!!

Great game by LA. Good interview on skins.com after the game in the locker room. I think G. Williams has had a secret agenda to hold him back like a rabid dog on a leash and to let him loose today, get his reps, only to get him ready to absolutely wreak havoc next week at NY. That's my conspiracy theory anyway.
***Sorry for the double post. The others weren't viewable when I posted this for some reason. Can you merge this Matty??***

Re: Lavar is back!!

Lavar proves that we need this guy down the stretch to win the big games, he probably will hurt Eli or McNabb, and change the whole NFC East for us.......welcome back Lavar

Re: Good Outing For LaVar

He was a beast today. Best player on the field offense or defense. I was supportive of their decision to sit him and I am supportive of their decision to play him. Obviously they know something about football. What a day for #56. Shoulda heard the crowd when he came in on the first 2nd down. Awesome.

Re: Good Outing For LaVar

a backup QB isn't worth a starting pass-rushing end. at least not one that'd be a big enough upgrade to be worth pursuing.

Re: Good Outing For LaVar (merged)

Do you hear all the Lavar haters from the last couple of weeks running to jump on his bandwagon?

Lame. I think keeping Lavar off the field for so long made him even more hungry and contributed to his big game today. But I also feel that he could have had the same effect on the Denver and KC games had he been in there.

Either way, its good to have him back out there.

Re: Good Outing For LaVar (merged)

Great to see Lavar on the field and playing very well Sunday. I think with his team leading tackles and his ferocius tendencies we'll see alot more of him in the weeks to come. I hope his knee is ready. Look forward to the next 2 weeks. HUGE games. Gee, funny how Gibbs and Williams seem to know what they're doing right now... I love our TEAM!!!

Re: Good Outing For LaVar (merged)

Luxorreb: I don't think this was a question about the knee as much as it was Arrington's willingness to play within Williams' system and do his job. And as far as Williams and Gibbs knowing what their doing, I don't really think they're doing much different from last year- just dictating to the players that they are coaches and they will direct the team.
