Must Win
Check this out from a Niner forum. They talk about the Niners being in a Must Win situation. After looking at our remaining schedule, it occurred to me, WE ARE IN A MUST WIN. It doesn't get easier from here. It ain't gonna' be easy to amass 9, or 10 wins. Granted, I think we'll kick their ASS, but we gotta' have it too!!!

Re: Must Win
This is just about as must win as you get. Were not going to beat all the Philly's the NYG's, the Chargers, ect. We need to beat the teams we are clearly better than, which includes this team.

Re: Must Win
dallas proved that NYG's offense can be shut down, so hopefully we can go 2-0 over them...

Re: Must Win
I agree and disagree.
I agree insofar as we need to recover from two straight losses, our (both the Warpathers' and the team's) morale would be shot if we lost to one of the worst teams in the league, and the NFC East is shaping up to be a tight race. I disagree insofar as it is early in the season and we should be able to compete against our division rivals. |

I'll just say that if we lose this one, I'll have to stay off the board for a while...

Re: Must Win
This game is no more important than the games to come. Each week has to present the same preparation from our players and coaches that would require us to play to like every single week is Dallas.

Re: Must Win
A win is a win, but this time I'd like to see the Skins on top by more than just a field goal. Can we please have a game where there's a comfortable margin by the end of regulation?

Re: Must Win
gotta win this game.
first of all we have lost 2 games in a row. if we lose another, it would be detrimental to the team next, this is a home game against an nfc opponent, who honestly, we should beat if we lose this game, i can see this season start to slip away very quickly

Re: Must Win
Wait, explain to be why the 49ers must win? To guarantee Arizona the first pick in next years draft? Even if they won this game, do their fans think that at 2 and 4 and with their team they are making the playoffs?

Re: Must Win
This is clearly a must win. they are playing the worst team in the conference with a rookie QB. This is the kind of game that when you lose it everyone brings it up in January after being eliminated...if we had just taken care of business blah blah blah. This is without a doubt a must win...

Re: Must Win
The reason the Redskins are going to win this game impressively is because Coach Gibbs has preached all week how we can beat any team and lose to any team. San Francisco is that kind of team. They can score points on special teams and with a decent receiver core. Frank Gore, Hicks and Barlow can take it the distance at any time. With Arrington in there, ready to restore his legacy, it will be difficult for the 49ers to move the ball.
