Ring of Horror Part II?
http://www.summitdaily.com/article/2...73222549858470
THE ASSOCIATED PRESS August 1, 2005 DENVER — Hard-hitting safety Steve Atwater was voted into the Denver Broncos Ring of Fame on Monday. Atwater, a three-time Associated Press All-Pro, played for the Broncos from 1989-98. This was his first year of eligibility and he was voted in unanimously by owner Pat Bowlen and the Ring of Fame board. “It was a short discussion,” Bowlen said. A first-round pick from Arkansas in 1989, Atwater established his reputation as a hard hitter in his second year, when he crushed Chiefs running back Christian Okoye during a Monday night game. He wore a microphone for an NFL Films production that night, and the play, complete with sound, is shown time and again whenever a feature on the NFL’s hardest hits comes up. Atwater started all 155 games he played as a Bronco. He made seven straight Pro Bowls from 1990-96 and finished his career with 24 interceptions, 1,301 tackles, five sacks, 12 forced fumbles and nine fumble recoveries. He will be inducted into the Ring of Fame on Oct. 9, the day the Broncos play Washington. He will be the first person inducted since offensive lineman Gary Zimmerman in 2003. |

Re: Ring of Horror Part II?
yeah i heard about this, had a nice talk with a dallas and denver fan today. They said that they do this to us because it is a garanteed win blah blah blah. You don't do this to the skins or you will be embarrassed but the problem is the crowd will be in it the entire game AGAIN. This kind of ceremony is for the 9ers of last year not the skins of this year. Sons of bitches don't know who we be.

Re: Ring of Horror Part II?
Teams can keep doing this to us all year but by next season teams will ask us to play them in Fed Ex or Mexico so their fans won't be there to see them get stomped!!!

Re: Ring of Horror Part II?
Colin Cowherd just did an interview on ESPN with a columnist from Denver. "We will beat Washington by shutting down the run in the middle. We will keep bad Jake in check by using our own running game to open the pass". They must think Greg hasn't thought of shutting down THEIR running game? I wonder if Greg has thought of postponing "Bad Jakes" exorcism by stuffing their run, and forcing the Jake we all know and love to come out? It could provide for amusement for Springs and Carlos, ST, etc.

Re: Ring of Horror Part II?
I watched NFL Network's Playbook last night. They seem to feel that we can shut down their run quite easily. One thing Denver might not be ready for is the one-two punch with Portis and Betts. They are probably game planning for Portis, but Betts as well??
Let everybody have a "Ring of Horrors" ceremony with us.....really we don't mind!
