For Once I Am NOT Upset by What SI Had to Say About the Skins
I'm more irritated by what they did NOT say. Monday night was one of the most exciting victories by any team in a long time and yet SI did not even mention the Skins beyond the standard AP blurb that came out after the game. Peter King did his usual Tuesday edition of MMQB and never even mentioned the game. And of course, Dr. Z failed to even acknowledge the Skins' existence.
This snubbing is getting a little out of control when mainstream sports reporting can't even write about a truly memorable game because the writers have some petty vendeta against a team. Use it for motivation, but it is still just wrong. |

The game got over pretty late, too late for most writers to get their stuff in for today.

Re: For Once I Am NOT Upset by What SI Had to Say About the Skins
I still maintain that I just don't care about stuff like this. I put no stock in what any sports writer has to say about any of my favorite teams because the simple fact is they just don't know as much about my teams as I do. I know that sounds arrogant, but it's true. Maybe they can tell me things about the Bengals or the Seahawks that I don't know, but I guarantee I know more about my team than any national sports writer who splits his time up covering 31 other NFL teams........so why would I care what they say or don't say?
Not to mention that to them, they simply woke up and saw the skins won a 14-13 game. The game just isn't going to mean as much to anyone else outside of the Cowboys's and Redskins's world...........and I could care less. Just my opinion.
