Patriots Struggle
Did anyone see the Patriots game? This is the first time in about 2 years I have seen their offense struggle. I know they were playing at Carolina but they basically couldn't move the ball in the second half. Any thoughts?

Re: Patriots Struggle
I didn't see the game, only highlights, but I wouldn't panic if I'm a Patriot's fan. They are just all around solid, and truthfully they played a good team in the Panthers.
Anything can happen on any given Sunday - now the Vikings situation would scare me a little, but that's another thread |

Re: Patriots Struggle
I don't like the vikings by the way
poor little stupid smoot, he went to a worser defense for more money, now he is on a team that can't score an offensive poing. Poor little stupid smoot, he talked some trash this week, then chad johnson called him out, then chad gets over 125 yards and a touchdown(on my fantasy team) and proves smoot is a great number two but average number one. Poor little stupid smoot almost made the probowl last year and now is on a team that gave up over 500 yards this week. Poor little stupid smoot Last edited by BigSKINBauer; 09-18-2005 at 07:11 PM. |

Re: Patriots Struggle
i too am happy, chad johnson is on my fantasy team as well. every year the pats lose 1 or two games, and this year is no different. it doesn't make them any worse imo though.

Re: Patriots Struggle
NE lost to PIT last year but owned them in the postseason. That's should be the case with CAR. But looking at NE's difficult schedule, they have to play well against division rivals to make the playoffs. That too can be said about IND (what happened to that high-powered offense?). So what if IND has home field advantage throughout the playoffs? If they play NE they will be eliminated.

Re: Patriots Struggle
I was glad to see Carolina pick up the win over New England. I'm glad I didn't have to suffer through watching the Eagles game! I get mad when they win even when they're not playing the Redskins.

Re: Patriots Struggle
I couldn't be more pissed that carolina won. If we are realistically looking at a playoff birth it will most likely come by a wildcard
The West and the North have eliminated themselves from producing a wildcard team. The West has always been a joke and the north has proven that chicago may be favorite to win the DIVISION. The north seems only able to win within the division and if that continues they will average 2 wins a team. Sad really is. The only thing i worry about is one team winning over the other weak teams in their division, like the west did last year as they produced two playoff teams because they won "free" games over the weakest in their division who are also some of the weakest in the league. Now the north deserved two teams making the playoffs last year but it will be much tougher this year. That leaves the south and us. The south has the ability to have any team win 8+ games as do we. Both divisions will be dog fights. The south winning is horrible for us. If the eagles and the falcons have locks( i strongly don't believe they do) that would leave the PANTHERS, Saints, bucks, us, dallas, and giants to contend for two spots. Panthers winning is horrible for us. In our division i think 3 of the 4 of us win between 9-12 games. That will make for a close battle. The three teams are ofcourse the eagles, the skins, and dallas, but i do believe it is possible for the gints to come up with an upset. The 8 teams in the east and south will contend for half as many spots in the playoffs |
