If we beat Dallas...
If Brunell leads the offense down the field and scores us enough to beat Dallas, then will guys finally jump on the bandwagon? Would you be happy?
2nd Question: In that case then, what would your expectations for the team become? |

Re: If we beat Dallas...
I will not be on the "Brunell Bandwagon"...yet. He did fine against Dallas last season, he needs to string together a few solid games before I start going nuts for him.
HOWEVER, if we beat Dallas, my expectations for the team will shoot up quite a bit.

We are going to get crushed. Id love to be forced to come on here and eat crow on Tuesday, but I really think we are going to get crushed. I feel like we're all on the Titanic.

To be honest, I'm kinda with you paul. After watching that Dallas defense it really looked good, and their defense looked suitable. We need to put up some points to beat the 'boys.

Would I be happy? Yes!!!
Would I be ready to jump on the bandwagon? No, not yet. Brunell has to show me a LOT more than one win before I would be ready to do that and I just don't think he has that in him. I'm very much afraid that we are looking at a repeat of last season. Brunell is not going to suddently morph into a QB that can take us to the playoffs, not at this point in his playing career. I really hope I'm wrong, because I'm tired of these losing seasons. But, I'm also realistic and fear that I'm right. I'll always root for the Skins, but there's no "joy in Mudville" today. And if our season goes down the tubes there's only one man that I'll blame - Gibbs. |

Re: If we beat Dallas...
I don't see any situation where Brunell puts up enough points to beat the Cowboys. And no I won't be on the bandwagon.

I totally agree. There is no way the skins will beat dallas. As much as I cant believe it with gibbs in charge it again seems as if the media is correct in saying that the skins are an organization that has no idea what its doing. |

There is no bandwagon, this is a submarine that's on red alert. I'm for whatever it takes to get to the surface.

Re: If we beat Dallas...
What a bunch of babies.
Our D can kill any QB the Cow-Whores put in, Bledsoe looked horrible initially, the Bolts didn't finish the job. Our D won't be as nice. As for our Offense, Cow-Whores are far too aggressive a D, we'll run all over them. Quit your whining. Last edited by RedskinRat; 09-13-2005 at 01:24 PM. |

Re: If we beat Dallas...
You can’t deny that Brunell has looked more confident and more comfortable then Ramsey all pre-season and the first game. He’s had zip on his passes and been very accurate and don’t give me that crap about (He was playing with scrubs) because number one when a receiver was open he got him the ball and number two when he was in trouble with a rush or whatever he didn’t do anything stupid and in some cases he kept the drive alive be getting out of trouble and completing the pass.
So at this point the only beef anyone can muster against Brunnel is he can’t throw the deep ball. Well he can’t throw it as deep as Ramsey but he can throw it well enough to get the job done. I like Ramsey and if Ramsey was the future for us I’d say keep him in and let him learn but he isn’t. I’m not happy about that but that’s not my decision. I hope Ramsey has a great career but it won’t be with the redskins. |

Re: If we beat Dallas...
It won't satisfy me or get me on the Brunell bandwagon, he is serviceable will not produce alot of wins and make the game so horrible to watch. I never ever turn the TV off and rarely miss a play when the skins are playing, but damn Ramsey made it so much more fun to watch with a much improved vertical attack and would eventually spread the D out and only improve the running game and we could get back to Redskins ball. The receivers can get down field and need the ball to get to them without having the corners having so much time to adjust or recover with a lofted deep ball that is sputtering to get to them. What kind of accuracy can you expect from his deep ball when all he is doing is poutting everything he has into it and pray that it is deep enough.

This is absurd. The Chargers ran all over Dallas, we can too. And our D is a lot better than San Diego's. You guys do realize we moved the ball really well against a really tough Bears defense? If we just stop turning the ball over we'll be good. I like Brunell better in that department. I'm on the Brunell bandwagon for good. I think the Dallas game will be a war and it is a tough one to call. But saying we don't have a chance is just crazy. |

Re: If we beat Dallas...
Brunell is 36. he is a dead end no matter HOW HE PLAYS this year. i can't be on his bandwagon because i havent seen enough *regular season* proof that he's magically improved while Ramsey magically regressed over last season to not have the same winning day in Dallas.
i'd rather see Campbell or Ramsey build with the franchise then rely on a temporary (no one can deny he's temporary) hope that a past star can reach his former potential one last time. |

Oh ye of little faith! I can't figure out the "If we beat dallas" philosophy. Don't you mean "When we beat the cowroids Monday, and when M. Brunell leads the team down the field and scores more than enough to beat the 'roids, will guys finally jump on the bandwagon? Yes! Would I be happy? Yes! You need to check the fluids in those Burgandy glasses my friend!
