Pats should start Flutie
Man, did you see the stats for the Pats-Saints game.
Brady was only 6 for 11, no TDs, and an Int. Flutie was 3 for 4(75%), 1 TD, and no Ints. It's clear. Brady blows. They should start Flutie. PS - Yes, I'm being an ass! |

Re: Pats should start Flutie
ONE GAME, i mean i was upset after the scrimmage and the preseason game but cmon to call him a baby and such is silly. We need to fall in the middle, no one is gonna tell me we have NOTHING to worry about and NO ONE is gonna tell me we have EVERYTHING to worry about.
MY opinion the reason we don't critize Mcnabb and Brady is because they are proven and for this thread in particular Brady is gonna be in the HOF and that is why it is different. We are not babing the person who played 5 good games at the end of the year. No way that we just throw brunnel back in just so quickly, this is really surprising me, cmon i know it is fun to talk about it but really this is PR's last chance and if he is taken out he is gone and next year it is Brunnel and Campbell with no draft pick. I can't believe some people are ready to take out Ramsey, i respect the opinion but i just can't believe it. One interception. YES it was a horrible interception but had he made that pass(that he says slipped off his hand) we would be happy because he would be in the upper 90 yards, and 9/12 On the flip side ramsey has had time and he has had the comfort of being "the guy" now. there is NO excuse if he isn't able to preform this year, even if it is shell shock and it isn't his fault, tough cookies to bad for ramsey, he better break out of the shell shockness or he will continue to play bad, He better preform tonight or the boards will be on fire with ramsey hatred, i hope for his good name that he gets a TD drive with no INTs Now my opinion, ramsey didn't play good last week or the scrimmage for that matter but it was one game with no running but he only threw short passes. now Ramsey just looked funny, it was wierd, and we all critize it as being uncomfortable, he said he was comfortable but he will need to show it tonight. If he does preform like last week i won't go crazy because 8/12 with a running game and a good defense is a playoff team, but if he throws 2 ints or so with no TD drive i will be upset, but still i am not ready to throw brunnel into the mix |

Re: Pats should start Flutie
It just seems like on this site you can't criticize Ramsey AT ALL. He looks jittery which is inexcuseable at this point in his so called development. He had his chances and intercepted them away. I am sick of it. He is my QB and I love him but I am at the point now where there is no more excuses. for example Ramsey throws a pick and on this site eveyone blames 50/50. Or he throws inaccurate passes and everyone blames the o-line. No QB in the NFL has all day in the pocket its just that some have the knack and some dont. He is not a rookie anymore and should not be judged as one his chances have run out. He looked like a rookie the first preseason game the intangibles man the intangibles and his accuracy is way off. We need to let this Spurrier project go to South Carolina with his daddy. Other teams would ahve been let him go. time to move on. we are lucky if we make a third down its crazy.

Re: Pats should start Flutie
we just need basics like man open, completion, first down. I think Spurrier coached him up too much.. He thinks too much

Re: Pats should start Flutie
joethiesmanfan,
There are more than a few Ramsey fans on this site. It's probably to be expected that a good portion of Redskins fans would be "enamored" with the Redskins starting quarterback. But rather than bore you with obvious factiods like that, I'll bore you with statistics. His rating for the season last year was 74.8, but if you factor out the disasterous relief appearance in week 2, that bumps up to a more respectable 79.9. As a starter last year, his rating was 82.6 (week 11 on). Those are decent numbers when one considers that he didn't practice with the starters for over half the season, and it wasn't exactly an offense geared toward gaudy passing numbers. The question shouldn't be "What can Ramsey do to gain the team's trust?", but rather "What did he do to lose it?". By the way, it's spelled "Theismann".

Re: Pats should start Flutie
His numbers looked good but I still felt like we were lucky to get a first down and I don't think anything was wrong with coach Gibbs offense.

I think what will be apparent by game 4 of the regular season is how much better we are as a team, across the board. Most important thing about PR is the team believs in him. |

Re: Pats should start Flutie
well if the team believes in him i do I will be the first one to jump on his wagon. I was so happy when he took over for brunnell last year.
