Re: Draft recap
Meet "Freakin' Sweet!"
QB: Bulger, Palmer, Dilfer RB: Ahman Green, Bennett, Blaylock (wouldn't mind upgrading here) WR: Mason, Fitzgerald, Braylon Edwards, Randle-El TE: Cooley, Royal, Freddie Jones K: Kaeding Def: Jacksonville The team is ok I guess. I'll need to step it up come $$ league draft time...especially because this year there won't be Hogskin around to make one-sided trades with (that's right, I went there)

Re: Draft recap
Well after the disaster that was my $$ league team, I have decided to do the free leauge and get some practice before I step it up in there again. I've traditionally been a bad Fantasy football player, but heres my team.....(The Fun Bunch)
QB: Collins, Ramsey, Rothlesberger RB: Portis, R. Williams WR: C Johnson, A Boldin, Santana Moss, Plax Burress, Antonio Brown TE: T. Heap K: Kasay , Hall D: Dallas, Cinci I tried to draft as many "skill" guys as I could at first so hopefully I could have some trade bait. I think my WR corps is strong, my RB's have alot of potential. None of my QB's are real standouts, but I think Collins could have a huge year.

Re: Draft recap
Hey Matty, did someone pick up Chatman? I know he was waived by the Chargers but I hadn't heard if some team had picked him up

Re: Draft recap
I'm actually not happy with my team, but i feel asleep an hour before the draft, so its my fault. I got decent RBs, gates, and vinateri though... but i also got at least 4 totally wasted roster spaces. And i looked for replacements, but with this many people in the league only trash seems to be left.
QB A. Brooks (NO - QB) WR D. Jackson (Sea - WR) WR D. Driver (GB - WR) RB P. Holmes (KC - RB) RB R. Johnson (Cin - RB) TE A. Gates (SD - TE) W/R J. Bettis (Pit - RB) BN Ke. Johnson (Dal - WR) BN J. Harrington (Det - QB) BN M. Shipp (Ari - RB) NA BN Ma. Clayton (Bal - WR) BN M. Campbell (Buf - TE) K A. Vinatieri (NE - K) BN O. Kimrin (Ten - K) DEF Carolina |

Re: Draft recap
Here's mine (Fear the Turtle):
QB: T. Brady, Losman WR: H. Ward, D. Givens, K. Colbert, K. McCardell RB: J. Lewis, L. Jordan, F. Taylor, E. Shelton, C. Fason TE: J. Shockey, J. Kleinsasser K: M. Vanderjagt DEF: Buffalo I am pretty happy with it but wish I had better receivers - but the bye week conflicts caused me some problems. As it is, week 7 is gonna be interesting. Fear the Turtle baby, 'cause the Turtle fears no one! |

Re: Draft recap
The one that threw me was OB/GYN Kenobi - I just didn't get it. He drafted 3 back up QB's (as in NFL backups - not NFL starters as Fantasy backups) including Houston's 2nd AND 3rd string QB. I know he got Peyton, but - c'mon - Tony Banks???
Also, SHOCKED to see LT go at the 3rd pick. No way I get that lucky in hte $$ league. |

Re: Draft recap
If anyone has the time/inclination to, could they post the entire draft results for those of us not in the league (cut/paste?) - would make for some interesting reading whilst waiting on the preseason games!
The link to the draft results only works for those in the league which is why I am asking ... thanks, DT. |
