Just how good Sean Tayler is!

Hey guys you should check out this article on the wire about the potential trade between the patriots and lions. Bassically the lions and patroits have worked out a trade, but it is contingent on one thing. Sean Tayler is still on the board. Now I think we could all agree that Bill Belleicheick has a damn good eye for talent on defense. If he's willing to trade all these picks, and ignore his hole and RB. Then this guy should really be the real deal. To me there is no question what the skins should do at 5.

SEAN TAYLER!"

If they decide on Winslow they should trade down to 7, assuming Gallery hasnt been picked, and get some extra choices and draft Winslow at a later spot.

I agree with you, i think he'll be there. The Skins seem to think that windslow will be gone even ealier that for though. Which doensn't make sense to me. I've never seen Windslow earlier than 5 in any mock draft.

I strongly believe that if it is Sean Taylor the Pats want, Sean Taylor they will get. Since we pick at #5 I say we take tell the Pats that we are going to take Taylor and that if they want to deal for him, we'd accept their offer to the Lions - their two first rounders and a second rounder.

We could probably get DT Randy Starks, C Jake Grove, and MLB Teddy Lehman/S Stuart Schweigert/DE Dave Ball with those picks. I'd much rather have Starks, Grove, and Lehman than Sean Taylor and I think he's probably the best player in the draft.

I was hoping we'd get Grove for awhile but now that Raymer is back, I don't know. I'm also conflicted on whether to take Taylor or Winslow or trade down. All those picks would be tough to pass up ... I have to put my faith in Gibbs and hope for the best. By the way, I'd bet the house that Gibbs and Snyder have already talked to the Pats and we just haven't heard about it because Gibbs is so tight-lipped and careful about what he says in public.

I would have to say you are right Ghost about the Pats and Gibbs. One thing is for sure is Gibbs will do what is right for him. Trading down or pick at #5!

I think that even if the Pats work out a deal for Sean Taylor they won't want to pay him, so what the hell is the point? Sean Taylor will be a beast and the Patriots are the dollar store of football. They don't like to pay their standout players anything (Ty Law anyone?) Sean Taylor will be out of NE the second his rookie contract is up.

Personally, I don't even think the deal is that good. I'd rather have impact players than a bunch of mediocre players. I still think with the right trade offers we could get the Miami twins and our only weakness would be our D line, which a coordinator such as Williams can take care of without problem. I don't think it's good to overhaul the whole team in one year. Let's wait to see what kind of agents for the D line come out next year in free agency!

I don't think any 1st rounders are, in theory, mediocre players. The difference between a top ten pick and the bottom 10 of the 1st round isn't that great. Starks is a junior that most scouts feel will be a monster and would be a top 10 pick next year. Grove, according to most scouts, is the best center many of them have ever scouted. Lehman et al are all very good, yet a step below elite, players.

Sean Taylor will be awesome, but I'd rather have cheaper depth at 3 different positions. Starks and Grove should both be quality starters in their rookie season and Lehman et al should get a good amount of playing time.

IMO no player in this year's draft is worth those three players, especially a safety.

RF I am with you on stark's, but we have to get at least I believe taylor or winslow, I believe taylor should be our priority here, as we can trade off gardner, trotter, and some pick's next year to get into possibly late first and early second, so we could still get stark's, and I say TE watson, both tatlor and winslow will be very hard to get, not imppossible but difficult at best, I say we take a slight downgrade in watson and still get stark's, as well as taylor, I feel this scenerio would fill our need's the best as well as keep the cap in somewhat of perspective.
