Ravens sign Heap to an Extension
http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn...061400815.html
Looks like he'll be the highest paid TE and won't hit free agency next year (which was a foregone conclusion). I hate the Ravens, but Heap's a good kid and a great player - he deserves the money. |

Re: Ravens sign Heap to an Extension
definitely a smart move by the ravens cuz no matter how bad boller winds up being, he'll atleast have one of the best safety valves in todd heap to dump it off too. I hope antonio gates gets a somewhat similar deal but since he's only really played big time for one year, make it more incintive based. but he should be getting paid more than around the league minimum not only because of his play but because he's still reporting to camp and whatnot without a contract as talked about in the recent thread about his contract.

Lot's of money to give a guy who can't stay healthy. He's a great player when healthy but he's been pretty snake bitten in his career.
I hate the Ravens.
