NFL players approve the new CBA deal

Interesting. I don't expect the vocal opposition to lie down quietly though, they will probably keep the challenge going through the courts. Not a fan of the 17th game either, for NFL record purposes, or for the symmetry of the existing schedule. But money is the bottom line.

Re: NFL players approve the new CBA deal

I like the 17th game. If for no other reason then barring an 8-8-1 record, a team either had a winning or losing season. No more .500 teams as a rule.

Also like 3 preseason games instead of 4.

Not a fan of the changed playoff format.

Not a fan of more games, but are they shortening the preseason?

Currently the season (not including playoffs) is about 21 weeks; 4 preseason games and 17 week regular season.

If you shorten preseason to 2 games, add another regular season game, and add another bye week, it would still be 21 weeks; 2 preseason games and 19 week regular season.

I'd be happy with that setup.

All they're doing is watering down the product even more. You're going to see 8-8 and 7-9 teams making the playoffs. Don't want to see that shit at all.

Also 17 games? The league really showed their true hand when it comes to player safety. They really don't care.

And keeping the chance of a 10-7 team making the playoffs ,they brought in more players for game day and practise squad's. If you have a bitch about player safety then as of now blame the players...........they voted to accept it.

1019 to 959 that is a lot closer, I expected a ballpark of 1400 to 700
