Giants Pregame Thread
I'll kick it off with the Pro Bowl rosters:
https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/...on-leads-picks Scherff named reserve, Tress Way finally gets his due. Landon Collins named 1st alternate, Matty I. named 4th alternate. (Maybe it's just me, but I think this year's "Pro Bowl is overrated" justification is Matty I. being 4th alternate and Landon Collins being 1st alternate. Matty I. has made way more of an impact at his position than Collins has) |

Re: Giants Pregame Thread
How is Landon Collins in the pro-bowl? Might as well put Josh Norman there too.

Re: Giants Pregame Thread
Collins has been pretty damn good in the run game. But that's only half the job. He leaves a lot to be desired in the passing game.
I don't get upset about pro bowl picks. It's not based on reality and the pro bowl might be the most meaningless game in all of professional sports. Haven't watched it in at least 5 years.

Re: Giants Pregame Thread
I haven’t watched it since Sean Taylor trucked that kicker. That’s the only thing memorable from any of those “games” as far as I am concerned.

Re: Giants Pregame Thread
But back to the Giants, I just can’t root for us to lose to an NFCE team. Just can’t. Would love to see dallas and the eagles tie with both fan bases go nuts.

Re: Giants Pregame Thread
If I go watch somewhere, I'll want us to win. I'm not going to watch. So I'll be perfectly fine with losing. Won't be mad if we win tho either. Way easier to tell other people to lose on purpose and ignore any pride they have.

Re: Giants Pregame Thread
After seeing Preston Smith succeed in GB, I'm willing to give some players like Collins a pass and see how they do with a smart and competent DC.
Of course, others like Norman and Nicholson, need to go. Sent from my SM-G892A using Tapatalk

Collins is intriguing to me, early in the season I was very disappointed, missed tackles, over committed, plus I was holding him to high standards after all the offseason talks (superbowlS, the Giants are gonna regret etc...). But as the season moved on I thought he played better. He sometimes gets beat in coverage but has been a solid contributor in the run game. I'd like to see him perform under a true DC before deeming him awfully overrated. (Likely not gonna live up to his contract though).

Re: Giants Pregame Thread
Same here. Like last week, a competitive loss would be the most rational thing to root for, but I won't hate beating a division rival. It's worth a couple of draft spots IMO.

Re: Giants Pregame Thread
The whole punt team does pretty well, the gunners are real good at covering the kicks. It is probably by far the best unit on the Redskins.
