Post Draft Thoughts
Favorite pick? Biggest steal? Least favorite pick? Any other thoughts?
Sweat/Harmon/Love Love was a great player. But thought there were other picks. I really liked this draft, so this pick was really the only one I question. Can't believe we got Harmon that late. I hope we can bring in some UDFAs to compete at TE. Still want that surefire blocker. Overall, I give this draft an A.

Great draft all the way around.
McLaurin and Harmon could re-vamp the WR corps |

Re: Post Draft Thoughts
I honestly couldn’t be happier with a draft. Let’s see how it works out on the field of course but as of right now I think they did an outstanding job.

Re: Post Draft Thoughts
FANTASTIC DRAFT!! Many steals, really like Martin, Moreland since no one knows much about them, especially Martin. Love the Love pick.

Re: Post Draft Thoughts
Outstanding on paper. A solid A. Hopefully a year from now it's still an A. Obviously the owners pick will have a huge impact on the success of this draft.

FWIW
https://twitter.com/NFLDraftBites/st...027511296?s=20 I'm guessing Apke wasn't Smith's pick last year. Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk

Solid A
Best draft top to bottom I can remember for sure. Even the Martin pick when you look deeper seems solid. Love the character, production, and speed. Hope it stays this way. |

Re: Post Draft Thoughts
I think Redskins did well in the draft although I still have my reserves. I think I have been burned too many times to a point where I'm going to wait and see..
I wasn't sure of Haskins but the more I watch his films and the more I like him. We really need to keep Oline intact, Haskins play really well when Oline gives him time to throw. The fact that we are likely going to have strong run game, it definitely will allow Haskins to come along well. The best scenario - Haskins becomes starter and helps Gruden save his job. Sweats looks like a great pick, he was widely considered as a top 10 player so giving up two 2nd round picks for a top 10 player is pretty good deal I think. I think Perine is good as gone, unless we keep Love on PUP until middle of season or put him on IR if he still is not ready to play. This would give Love plenty of time to recover and learn. Perhaps a replacement for Thompson since I think this season is last year of his contract? I really like Wes Martin, granted I saw only 8 mins of his highlights but it's obvious he has pretty strong frame and anchors really well. I'm curious to see how well he pulls. Kelvin Harmon looks like a gem although I wonder if it's just a clone of Doctson? Can jump and catch ball well but struggle to get separation... Our WR corp is kinda interesting - McLaurin, Harmon, Cam Sims, Qinn, and Richardson. And of course, our beloved Doctson. |

Re: Post Draft Thoughts
I did some more reading on our Alabama center, loved that one of my draft guides had him as the #1 center with a 2nd rd grade. Saying basically he's a lock to be a starter, could be a very good one, does everything very well but nothing special.
I'll take happily take that. 2 things that stood out to me were that they said he has gone full seasons without committing a single penalty, and that he was a 4 year starter at Alabama. Pretty impressive stuff, plus being one of 4 team captains for Alabama. Solid A draft. Can't wait for summer!!! HTTR!

Re: Post Draft Thoughts
This says it perfectly. There seem to be no knuckleheads in the group, and the picks just make sense as a whole. Some of these players won’t pan out, of course, but the FO did its job. Kyle Smith looks like the real deal.
