Winslow and the Postons?

I have been hearing rumors that Winslow signed the Postons as his agents. If this is true will we take Taylor knowing that we normaly work good with his agent? I hope so any way!!

That's what we're hearing so far. Joe doesn't need any holdouts this year. We need to get training camp going at full speed right off the bat. If he's a possible holdout because of his agent, then take Taylor!!!!

If he signed on with poston he sealed his fate, that alone could cost him a boat load of money, what happen's if we were going to draft him at #5 and he end's up sliping to the 9-12 spot? that's a lot of money, as well if he signed with him he's sending a clear message to us that he would rather play else where, or that he's just plain dumb.

Here is a good read on the Postons: http://www.freep.com/sports/lions/agents21_20031021.htm

If I hire a head hunter, I expect him to get me the best deal he can. This is exactly what the Postons are doing. Sorry but I don't sympathize with the owners. If they don't want to pay, let the player hold out the entire year if they want. Really, why don't owners make a stand and say go hold the fuck out? They are all gutless and complain when players hold out but they never exercise the many options at their disposal.

Yea, well orlando pace is contenplating firing the poston's because he found out they turned down a 32mil deal in guarenteed money, that's just under manning's deal, the word is around the NFL is that they keep thier client's in the dark about negotiation's, this way if something goes wrong they point the finger at managment and the player will usually side with the agent, I am starting to believe that the poston's are the real culprit's in the lavar deal.

If they did that I'd fire them too but I honestly don't believe this is the case. I mean, they asked for 27 million in guaranteed money so how could they turn down 32 million? You would have to be borderline retarded to reject more than you asked for. No one really knows what is going on but if they are keeping Orlando in the dark and he doesn't want to be he should fire them.

Good, I hope Winslow takes Poston. I'd much rather have Taylor as our #5 Draft pick, that way if he really is the next big thing, we can have a better time resinging him with Rosenhaus as his agent.

Dont be surprised if winslow ends up with Rosenhaus, most Canes players take him for whatever reason. Expecially the elite guys, which Winslow is no exception to

Is Rosenhause a musical agent too?

Sorry, couldn't resist that one.

In any case, I'd rather take Taylor as I'd like our D to scare people. However, I also expect some kind of draft day shuffling, so if Winslow signs with Rosenhaus, I'd love to see us trade up and get both. Unlikely, true, but would it not be great?
