Super Bowl LII Thread

Fletcher Cox will play in a Super Bowl, claims he has never watched one – ProFootballTalk

I bet you there are many players around the league that don't watch, I remember Will bLAkmon saying he's never liked watching football.

As for the game itself,

I'm going Pats 30 Eagles 21

Re: Super Bowl LII Thread

I’m sure there are players that don’t watch much football but Cox clearly has watched a SB. He sounds like people that like to brag about not watching any TV.

I don't want to derail this thread but this conversation reminds me of this SNL skit lol:

To stay on track, I hope the Pats win. I'd rather they win 10 SB's than the Eagles win their first.

Re: Super Bowl LII Thread

I hope the Eagles get the crap kicked out of them and have a SB loss-hangover that lasts several seasons. But boy, they sure dominated the Vikings, and I have to believe that this will be a dogfight.

The Eagles strategy of having lots of D-linemen and platooning them in and out will be tested as I expect Bellichick to do a lot of hurry up as the counter. Playing indoors will also work to the advantage of the team with better overall speed -- Cooks could have a good day for NE.

Love Vince but he already tried this shit, it won't succeed as long as the NFL is around.

I hope it does succeed, and I can't wait for it to start. I will be watching! Vince said it's not going to be the same XFL that it was back in 2001. No gimmicks, no WWE crossover talent. None of that stuff! The teams, the league - all owned by McMahon. No one with a criminal record will be allowed in the league. That includes Manziel. There will be no display of social protests in the league. Vince is giving this league two years to prepare, so that they can scout out the best players and have them practicing in advance in order to put out a better product.

I like what Vince McMahon is doing. He said the XFL is not going to be a development league for the NFL. He wants it to be its own professional league. 8 teams (to start with) and a 10 week season. He has my support!

Re: Super Bowl LII Thread

Competition is always a good thing but let’s be honest, a new league is always facing a tremendous uphill battle.

Re: Super Bowl LII Thread

I kept thinking RGIII when reading this article. Only difference is, RGIII wanted to change his playing style, Wentz doesn't. I never want to wish anything ill-fated no anyone, but you start to wonder how long of a career Wentz will have playing as aggressive as he does? He's already had a major injury in only his second season.

That is why I asked the Q about trading him if foles wins SB MVP... I know it sounds out of this world stupid but look at Andrew Luck as well... Things can happen fast
