Josh Norman Thread
Well can we all agree that the brightest part of this early 0-2 season has been JNO? The guy has backed up all his talk and is shutting down his side every game! He gave up 0 thats right 0 catches while covering AB and DB! That is stupid good.. Maybe he really is the best CB in the LEAGUE.. Thoughts?
https://www.profootballfocus.com/pro...of-his-career/ "Josh Norman was an elite cornerback in 2015, and the Redskins paid big money to make him the star of their secondary in 2016 (and beyond). So far, he has more than lived up to that billing, but the team hasn’t done nearly enough to maximize the impact that having a shutdown cornerback can deliver"

Re: Josh Norman Thread
Love the attitude as well -- plays with high energy (to put it mildly). This guy has been awesome.

Re: Josh Norman Thread
He has played great so far. We have some good pieces in place on defense for sure. But we also have some holes. I'm pumped about Cravens too. I hope he ends up as SS. I'm also excited about Fuller next year when he has even more time between his college injury. I think in 2017 our secondary will be great. The front 7 needs work. I'm assuming that's what SM will focus on in the off season.
Glad we have Norman. He looks like a lockdown corner. Always nice to have one of those.

Re: Josh Norman Thread
At 28 going on 29 this December he is too old for this team. By the time this shit storm of a team gets it shit together he will be too old.
But yeah he's great shutting down one receiver while the rest of the receivers torch our awful defense. I am so glad to have him. It's like owning a Porsche but you live in a tent.

Re: Josh Norman Thread
Revis is 31 and he is pretty much not elite at this point.

Re: Josh Norman Thread
he also looks like he's got a slight gut, i question his training regime.
we all know what darrell green did. you could argue that champ was elite into his mid 30's, he had double digit passes defensed up until 2012, when he was 34. other cbs in that conversation could include; charles woodson, ty law, ronde barber, and i think shawn springs last strong season was at age 32?

Re: Josh Norman Thread
He has played great, however I am concerned that our coaching staff is not adequately using him properly. He could shut down one receiver the entire game, yet for 1 2/3's of our games played they have not adjusted and instead let the opposing #1 wideout embarrass Baushad again and again. Not trying to change the topic of this thread but with every passing game I grow slightly more concerned that our coaching staff is inadequate.

Re: Josh Norman Thread
What impresses me about Josh Norman is how he works to force the incompletion.....

Re: Josh Norman Thread
Revis has also torn both ACLs. I think they are slightly different players in that Josh has only been really in the NFL three years and is 28/29, while Revis has been starting since he was 21. So there is a difference in the wear and tear those two guys have gone through

Re: Josh Norman Thread
It's called finishing the play, and he does it better than any CB that I've ever seen. He broke up completions against both Antonio Brown and Dez Bryant when they had secured the ball with both hands. I still think the AB breakup should have been ruled a fumble, which was the original call before the refs huddled.
